Scott Effross is an American professional baseball player born as Scott Benjamin-Morton Effross to parents Stefan Effross and Christine Morton on December 28, 1993, in Twinsburg, Ohio in the United States. He plays as a pitcher for the Chicago Cubs baseball team and wears the number 36 jersey in the team.



Scott began his amateur baseball career when he attended Twinsburg High School. He played as a first baseman for the school’s baseball team. He was a good player thus he was awarded several awards.

The awards were given in 2012. They were the Plain Dealer High School Baseball All-Star team, the Northeast Ohio Baseball Coaches Association All-Star Team, the All-Ohio Academic Team and the Mizuno All-Ohio.



Scott continued his amateur baseball career he Indiana University where he was a political science major student.

The Chicago Cubs team drafted him in the 15th round of the 2015 MLB Draft. Scott accepted to play for the Cubs and signed with them for a signing bonus of $100,000. He started his professional career from there and has been in the game to date.

Scott made his MLB debut on August 28 2021 for the Cubs a day after he was called up to the major leagues.
