Jorge López is a Puerto Rican professional baseball player who pitches for the Baltimore Orioles baseball team. The 29-year-old player started his career after he was drafted out of the military academy in 2011 by the Milwaukee Brewers baseball team.

After he was drafted in 2011, he signed with the Milwaukee Brewers. He began playing in several minor leagues till he was promoted to the major leagues in 2018.

First, he spent his 2012 season playing for both the Dominican Summer League Brewers and Gulf Coast Brewers. During the 2013 season, he was with the Wisconsin Timber Rattlers. For the 2014 baseball season, he played as a pitcher for the Brevard County Manatees and in July that same year, he was selected to appear in the All-Star Futures Game.

For the 2015 season, Jorge played for the Biloxi Shuckers of the Class AA Southern League and he made his MLB debut that season playing for the Milwaukee Brewers. He began his 2018 season with the Colorado Springs and it was within that period that he was promoted to the major leagues.

The Brewers traded him to the Kansas City Royals in July 2018. He was with the Royals till 2020 when in August 2020, he was claimed off waivers by the Baltimore Orioles.
