For the Yokohama BayStars, Tsutsugo made his debut at the age of 18 and appeared in three games that year. For the years 2011, 2012, and 2013, he played 40, 108, and 23 games, respectively.

Injuries and a lack of professional baseball expertise with wooden bats were to blame for his sluggish start. His role in the club expanded in 2014 when he appeared in 114 games.

To put it another way: He went 22 for 77 with an OPS of 373 while playing for the Milwaukee Brewers in the American League Championship Series.

On his debut in the NPB All-Star Game, he was selected to play in 2015. He had a.309 batting average, a 95-RBI season, and an OBP of.395.

A right calf strain forced Yoshi Tsutsugo to go on the 10-day IL, and Scott Alexander was moved to the 60-day IL so that Gonsolin could be added to the 40-man roster and activated.

Right shoulder discomfort had kept him out since April 4 (backward from Opening Day).
