Ozhaino Jurdy Jiandro Albies, professionally called Ozzie Albies is a professional baseball player from Curaçao. He plays as second baseman for the Atlanta Braves baseball team. Ozzie is 1.73m tall and has an estimated net worth of not more than $5 million.



He was born on January 7, 1997, in Willemstad in Curaçao. He grew up playing baseball as early as age six. He had his amateur baseball career in Curaçao and was signed by the Atlanta Braves as an international free agent in 2013. He received $350,000 as a signing bonus.

The Braves made him begin his professional career in 2014 with the Gulf Coast Braves of minor league baseball. After the 2014 season, he was ranked among the top 100 prospects in baseball by Keith Law and fifth-best in the Braves farm system by Baseball America. He spent the 2015 season with the Rome Braves and in July that year, he was named to the All-Star Futures Game.

The Braves invited him to spring training in the 2016 and 2017 baseball seasons. He was called up to the major leagues in August 2017 and he made his MLB debut that day against the Los Angeles Dodgers. The Braves added him to their Opening Day starting lineup to begin the 2018 season.

In April 2019, the Braves extended his contract by signing a seven-year contract worth $35 million for him to remain with them.
