Reid-Foley was promoted to the major leagues on August 13, 2018, and made his main league debut against the Kansas City Royals the following day.

He was charged with the loss after allowing three runs on six hits and three walks while striking out three batters.

Reid-Foley made history on September 15 by being the first pitcher in franchise history to strike out 31 batters in his first five major league starts, and the second to have two double-digit strikeout games as a rookie.

Reid-Foley made seven starts for the Blue Jays, recording two wins and four losses in 33 innings, striking out 42 batters while walking 21. He went 2-4 in 9 games (6 starts) in 31+23 innings the next season.
