Jorge Yabiel López Ramos, simply known in American baseball as Jorge Lopez is a Puerto Rican born baseball pitcher who plays for the Baltimore Orioles of Major League Baseball(MLB). Jorge was born on February 10, 1993, at Cayey in Puerto Rico.

Not much is known about his amateur career but he began his professional baseball career in 2011 after he was drafted out of the Caguas Military Academy in Caguas, Puerto Rico. During the 2011 MLB draft, the Milwaukee Brewers baseball team drafted him in the second round of the draft.

He did sign with the Brewers but made his professional debut with the Arizona League Brewers. In 2012, he was made to play in minor leagues and he played with the Dominican Summer League Brewers and Gulf Coast Brewers. For the 2013 baseball season, he was with the Wisconsin Timber Rattler. He made his MLB debut on September 29, 2015, with the Milwaukee Brewers.

The Brewers traded Jorge on July 27, 2018, to the Kansas City Royals. He was with the Royals till August 2020 when he was claimed off waivers by the Baltimore Orioles.

Jorge López and his wife, Karla, have a son together. He is known as Mikael Lopez.

Unfortunately, he suffers from Familial Mediterranean fever which he was born with. He is currently waiting for an intestinal transplant.
