Gregory Santos, born Gregory Omar Santos is a professional baseball player from the Dominican Republic who plays as a pitcher for the San Francisco Giants baseball team of Major League Baseball(MLB). Greg was born in August 1999 in a town called San Cristóbal Province in the country the Dominican Republic. He is 1.88 tall.



Greg was signed into the Boston Red Sox team as an international free agent on August 28, 2015. He then began his minor league career the following season in 2016 by playing with the DSL Red Sox. The Red Sox traded his contract to the San Francisco Giants in July 2017 in exchange for another player.

The Giants immediately assigned him to play for both the DSL Red Sox and the DSL Giants for the 2017 season. In 2018, he played for the Salem-Keizer Volcanoes where he was named a Northwest League midseason All-Star during the season. He spent the 2019 season with the Augusta GreenJackets.



The 2020 minor season got cancelled due to the COVID-19 pandemic which caused Greg to not play in a game in the 2020 season. The Giants added him to their 40-man roster in November 2020 and in April  2021, he was promoted to the major leagues for the first time. He made his MLB debut that day for the Giants when they played against the Miami Marlins.

Greg was named Arizona Fall League Rising Star in 2021 when he played for the Scottsdale Scorpions that season.
