Justin Matthew Turner is a Major League Baseball third baseman for the Los Angeles Dodgers in the United States.

Turner once played for the Baltimore Orioles and the New York Mets in Major League Baseball. He was a member of the Cal State Fullerton Titans in college baseball.

The Cincinnati Reds drafted him in the seventh round of the 2006 Major League Baseball draft, and he made his major league debut in 2009.

Turner was an All-Star with the Dodgers in 2017 and won the National League Championship Series Most Valuable Player Award.

With the Dodgers, he won the World Series in 2020.

Justin Turner was born to John and Betsy Turner in Long Beach, California. His younger sister is his only sibling.

Turner was a three-time All-Suburban first team shortstop and second baseman at Mayfair High School in Lakewood, California.

As a senior, he hit.514 in league play, earning most valuable player honors on his way to a league title.

He studied in kinesiology and played college baseball for the Titans at California State University, Fullerton.

After immediately taking over as the starting second baseman, he was named a freshman All-American by Baseball America in 2003.

As a shortstop, he was chosen to the 2003 College World Series all-tournament team. Turner got smacked in the face by a fastball during the CWS after going 3-for-3 with a home run.

He played collegiate summer baseball for the Yarmouth-Dennis Red Sox in the Cape Cod Baseball League in 2005.

The New York Yankees selected Turner in the 29th round of the 2005 Major League Baseball draft, but he did not sign.

The Cincinnati Reds selected him in the seventh round (204th overall) of the 2006 Major League Baseball draft, and he received a $50,000 bonus when he signed with the team.
