Hudson was drafted by the Chicago White Sox in the fifth round of the 2008 MLB draft. He has also played for the Arizona Diamondbacks, Pittsburgh Pirates, Toronto Blue Jays and Washington Nationals.

Hudson earned the save in Game 7 of the 2019 World Series to clinch the Nationals’ first championship.

Hudson attended Old Dominion University and played baseball there. With 295 strikeouts, he is second all-time in strikeouts and sixth in games that started with 40.

Before joining the Birmingham Barons, he played for the Great Falls Voyagers and Winston-Salem Dash. Hudson was promoted to Triple-A after nine starts in Double-A.
