Baragar was named to the Giants’ Opening Day roster for 2020, and his contract was added to the 40-man roster.

On July 25, 2020, he made his MLB debut, getting the victory after throwing two shutout innings of relief against the Los Angeles Dodgers.

In 2020, he was 5-1 with a 4.03 ERA in 24 games, pitching 22.1 innings (one start). He has the second-highest win-loss % in the National League (.833; behind Max Fried).
