Caleb Baragar was born on April 9, 1994, and is an American professional baseball pitcher for the Major League Baseball Arizona Diamondbacks (MLB). He threw for Jackson College and Indiana University in college.
The San Francisco Giants selected Baragar in the ninth round of the 2016 MLB draft. In 2020, he made his MLB debut.
Bargar went to Jenison High School and pitched two no-hitters. He threw for Jackson College during his first two collegiate seasons in 2013 and 2014. In 2015 and 2016, he transferred to Indiana University for his last two years.

Baragar was invited to spring training with the Giants in 2020 after spending parts of four seasons in the minor leagues, where he was 18-20 with a 3.82 ERA and was selected a 2019 Eastern League Mid-Season All-Star. Baragar was named to the Giants’ Opening Day roster for 2020, and his contract was added to the 40-man roster.
On July 25, 2020, he made his MLB debut, getting the victory after throwing two shutout innings of relief against the Los Angeles Dodgers.
In 2020, he was 5-1 with a 4.03 ERA in 24 games, pitching 22.1 innings (one start). He has the second-highest win-loss % in the National League (.833; behind Max Fried).
