Joc Russell Pederson, born April 21, 1992, is an American professional baseball outfielder for the Major League Baseball San Francisco Giants. He was formerly with the Los Angeles Dodgers, Chicago Cubs, and Atlanta Braves.

Joc Pederson, the son of former MLB player Stu Pederson, was taken in the 11th round of the 2010 MLB draft out of Palo Alto High School. He represented Israel’s national baseball team in the 2013 World Baseball Classic due to his Jewish origin. After the 2013 season, Baseball America ranked him as the Dodgers’ #1 prospect.

After hitting 30 home runs and stealing 30 bases in 2014, he was voted the Pacific Coast League (PCL) Most Valuable Player, and he made his major league debut in September.

In January 2018, Pederson married his longtime girlfriend Kelsey Williams. They are residents of Studio City, California. Their daughter was born in October 2018, during the National League Championship Series between the Los Angeles Dodgers and the Milwaukee Brewers. The couple’s son was born a month before the Dodgers’ World Series triumph against the Tampa Bay Rays in 2020.

Pederson signed a one-year, $6 million contract with the San Francisco Giants on March 16, 2022, returning to the Bay Area where he grew up.
