Jacob Daniel McGee is professionally called only Jake McGee. He is a professional baseball player who plays as a pitcher for the San Francisco Giants baseball team of the Major League Baseball(MLB). He has a height of 1.93 m and weighs 104 kg.

Jake started his professional baseball career in 2004 when he was selected by the Tampa Bay Devil Rays in the fifth round of the 2004 MLB draft. He made his minor league debut that year and spent the 2004 and 2005 seasons playing for the Princeton Devil Rays and the Hudson Valley Renegades.

He spent the 2006 season with the Southwest Michigan Devil Rays and split his 2007 season playing for both the Vero Beach Devil Rays and the Montgomery Biscuits. In September 2010, the Rays promoted him to the major leagues for the first time and he made his MLB debut that same night when they played against the New York Yankees.

The Rays traded him to the Colorado Rockies in January 2016. To avoid Salary arbitration,  Jake agreed with the Rockies and signed a contract worth $5.9 million for the 2017 season.

In July 2020, the Los Angeles Dodgers signed a one-year contract with Jake. When the 2031 baseball season started, the San Francisco Giants signed a two-year contract worth $7 million, with a club option for the 2023 season, with him on February 17, 2021.
