Frederic Michael Tarnok is an Atlanta Braves’ pitcher.
Tarnok was a baseball player for Riverview High School in Riverview, Florida. He finished 7–0 with a 0.66 ERA and a.393 batting average in his final year of 2017.
He was drafted in the third round of the 2017 Major League Baseball draft by the Atlanta Braves following his senior season. He signed with the Braves instead of going to the University of Tampa to play college baseball.
Tarnok made his professional debut with the Gulf Coast League Braves’ Rookie-level team, going 0–3 with a 2.57 ERA in 14 innings. He was selected an All-Star pitcher with the Class A Rome Braves in 2018.
Tarnok was 5–5 with a 3.96 ERA in 27 innings (11 starts), striking out 83 batters.
Tarnok was injured for part of the 2019 season, but he still pitched in 19 games for the Florida Fire Frogs of the Class A-Advanced Florida State League, posting a 3–7 record and a 4.87 ERA.
Due to the COVID-19 epidemic, the minor league season was canceled in 2020, and he did not play a game.
