Travis d’Arnaud is an American professional baseball catcher for the Atlanta Braves of Major League Baseball (MLB). He was selected by the Philadelphia Phillies in the supplemental first round of the 2007 Major League Baseball draft.

As a high school baseball player in 2007, D’Arnaud began to garner the attention of scouts and was invited to train with the Toronto Blue Jays.

The Lakewood Youth Hall of Fame named D’Arnaud Co-Athlete of the Year in 2008 after he graduated in 2007.

To avoid attending college, he signed a minor league contract worth $832,500 instead. d’Arnaud began his professional baseball career in 2007 with the Gulf Coast League Phillies, an affiliate of the Philadelphia Phillies in the Rookie League.

He had a.241 batting average and a.626 OPS in 41 games in the GCL. d’Arnaud began the 2008 season with the Williamsport Crosscutters of the New York–Penn League, the Phillies’ Class-A Short Season affiliate.

He appeared in 48 games for the New York Yankees, batting.309 with an OPS of.833 and being named to the All-Star team at the halfway point of the season.

Baseball player Travis d’Arnaud has a brother called Chase d’Arnaud. Likewise, Chase is a former professional baseball utility player.

State College Spikes drafted D’Arnaud in 2008, and he made his professional baseball debut in 2009. West Virginia Power and Lynchburg Hillcats were his two teams in 2009. During the 2010 season, he was signed by the Altoona Curve.

On June 24, 2011, the Pittsburgh Pirates selected d’Arnaud from the Indianapolis Indians and brought him to the major leagues for the first time.
