Bradley Michael Wieck, professionally called Brad Wieck is a professional baseball player of American descent who currently serves as a pitcher for the Chicago Cubs baseball team of the Major League Baseball(MLB). Brad has a height of 2.03 m with a weight of 117kg.



Brad was born and raised in Amarillo Texas on October 14, 1991. He had his high school baseball career in Amarillo at San Jacinto Christian Academy. He completed high school in 2012 and was selected by the Philadelphia Phillies in the 2012 MLB draft but he did not sign with the Phillies.

He enrolled at Frank Phillips College where he later got transferred to Cisco College. A year after being at Cisco, he got transferred again to Oklahoma City University. He was later on drafted by the New York Mets in the seventh round of the 2014 MLB draft.



Brad began his professional career with the Brooklyn Cyclones that same season he was drafted. He spent his 2015 minor league season with the Savannah Sand Gnats. In June,m 2015, the San Diego Padres purchased his contract from the Mets.

He was assigned by the Padres. Play for the Class A Fort Wayne TinCaps. He later has a promotion to play with the Class A Advanced Lake Elsinore Storm.

Before the beginning of the 2018 season, the Padres added Brad to their 40-man roster. He was promoted to the majors in September 2018 and he made his MLB debut that day for the Padres. In July 2019, Brad was traded to the Chicago Cubs.
