Camilo spent the 2016 season playing for the Rookie-level DSL Giants in the Dominican Summer League and in 2017 he spent the season playing for the Rookie-level AZL Giants. In 2019, he was named the California League Mid-Season All-Star.

There was no game for him to play in 2020 due to the cancellation of the Minor League Baseball season because of the COVID-19 pandemic. At the end of the 2020 baseball season, he was added to the Giant’s 40-man roster.

For the 2021 baseball season, Camilo played for both the Triple-A West Sacramento River Cats and the major league Giants. He was promoted to the major leagues in April 2021. He made his MLB debut two days after he was promoted, which was on April 18.
