Tyler O’Neill graduated from Maple Ridge, British Columbia’s Garibaldi Secondary School. He began playing baseball because he was bored during the summers as a child, having been mostly a hockey player.

He was named 3rd Team All-American and First Team All-Region by Rawlings in 2013. (Canada & Puerto Rico Region). Tyler O’Neill was a member of the 2012 Canadian Junior National Team.

Tyler O’Neill competed in the 2012 Canada Cup Tournament in London, Ontario, Canada as a member of Team British Columbia.

He was named Gold Medal Game MVP. Terry, his father, was Mr. Canada in 1975, capturing the national bodybuilding title.

Tyler Before being picked by the Mariners in the third round of the 2013 First-Year Player Draft, he committed to play college baseball at Oregon State University.

After the 2017 season, he attended Major League Baseball’s Rookie Career Development Program. Tyler O’Neill learned to play the piano as a child.

Tyler O’Neill was a huge fan of the Calgary Flames, and Jarome Iginla was his favorite player. He played in the 2017 World Baseball Classic and the 2016 All-Star Futures Game in San Diego for Team Canada.

Prior to the 2021 season, he changed his uniform number from 41 to 27. Tyler and Stephanie, his newlywed wife, live in Maple Ridge, British Columbia.
