Lucas Daniel Williams, professionally called Luke Williams plays baseball for the San Francisco Giants baseball team as a utility player, meaning he can play in different positions for the team.



He was born to Mark and Jeannine Williams on August 9, 1996, in Park Ridge, Illinois in the United States of America. He is an old student of Dana Hills High School. He used to play baseball for the baseball team and was at some point also playing football.

During the 2015 Major League Baseball draft, Luke was drafted by the Philadelphia Phillies in the third round of the draft. He agreed and signed with the team upon which he received an amount of $719,800 signing bonus.



There was no game for Luke to play in 2020 as the minor league season was cancelled due to the COVID-19 pandemic. He was called up to begin playing in the major leagues on June 8, 2021. He made his MLB debut that day for the Philadelphia Phillies. The Phillies traded him on March 27, 2022, to the San Francisco Giants baseball team.

Luke Williams has two brothers named and a sister called Samantha Williams. Sami, as she is affectionately called plays college softball for the Iowa State Cyclones at Iowa State University.

In 2021, Sami became the first National Fastpitch Coaches Association All-American softball player in the school’s history.
