Caleb John Thielbar (born January 31, 1987) is an American Major League Baseball pitcher who currently pitches for the Minnesota Twins (MLB).
Thielbar went to Randolph High School in Randolph, Minnesota, and South Dakota State University, where he was a member of the South Dakota State Jackrabbits’ baseball team. Thielbar was drafted in the 18th round of the 2009 MLB Draft by the Milwaukee Brewers.
Thielbar signed a minor league deal with the Minnesota Twins on December 13, 2019. Thielbar was added to the active roster by the Twins on August 3, 2020. He made his first appearance of the season, and his first in the majors in over four years, on August 4.
For the remainder of the 2011 season, Thielbar signed a minor league agreement with the Minnesota Twins and after the 2012 season, the Twins added him to their 40-man roster.
Thielbar was claimed off waivers by the San Diego Padres on August 8, 2015. There he signed up and played for minor baseball leagues including Miami Marlins, Detroit Tigers, and St.Paul Saints.
