Longoria, nicknamed “Longo,” is an American professional baseball third baseman for the San Francisco Giants of Major League Baseball. He was born on October 7, 1985. From 2008 to 2017, he was a member of the Tampa Bay Rays of Major League Baseball.



Longoria earned the CSN Bay Area 2005 Cape Cod League MVP and the 2006 Big West Conference Co-Player of the Year while playing baseball at Long Beach State University.

The Rays selected him in the first round of the 2006 MLB draft as the third overall choice.



He made his major league debut for the Rays in 2008 after two seasons in the minors and was chosen to the American League roster for the 2008 MLB All-Star Game.
