Anthony DeSclafani is an American born professional baseball pitcher with the San Francisco Giants baseball team. Anthony was born and raised in New Jersey on April 18, 1990. He has a height of 1.85 m and a weight of 86 kg.
Anthony had his non-professional baseball career playing baseball at Colts Neck High School and the University of Florida. Whiles in college, he played collegiate summer baseball in the Cape Cod Baseball League for the Yarmouth-Dennis Red Sox in 2010.
He began his professional baseball career in 2011 after he was selected by the Toronto Blue Jays in the sixth round of the 2011 MLB draft. He signed with the Jays and received a signing bonus of $250,000. The Blue Jays traded him to the Miami Marlins when the 2012 baseball season ended.
The Marlins promoted him to the major leagues in May 2014 and he made his MLB debut that same month for the Marlins. In December that year, the Marlins traded him to the Cincinnati Reds in exchange for another player.
The San Francisco Giants signed a one-year contract worth $6 million with him in 2020. In November 2021, he re-signed a three-year contract of $36 million with the Giants.
