David Mayo, a linebacker for the Washington Commanders of the National Football League, was born on August 18, 1993. In the fifth round of the 2015 NFL Draft, the Carolina Panthers selected him out of Texas State, where he played college football.
Mayo has previously played for the New York Giants and the San Francisco 49ers. Mayo was born to Wayne Mayo and Lori Haggans in St. Helens, Oregon. His family eventually relocated to Scappoose, Oregon, where he participated in sports for Scappoose High School in football, track, and basketball.
