Tanner Vallejo plays football professionally as a linebacker for the Arizona Cardinals of the National Football League.

As a football player in his senior year at Nevada Union High School, he was named a MaxPreps All-American. While a student at Boise State University, he participated in collegiate football with the Boise State Broncos.

His sophomore year at Boise State saw him record 100 tackles, but he had to leave school early in order to have wrist surgery. During his sophomore season, he helped the Broncos win 28-0 by blocking two kicks in one game.

The following day, the Washington Redskins took him off waivers. On November 16, 2019, he was released. He joined the Arizona Cardinals’ practice squad that very same month. Vallejo renewed his contract with the Cardinals in March 2021 for two years and $4.1 million.
