Joseph Tucker Davidson is a Major League Baseball pitcher for the Atlanta Braves in the United States. Midland College was his alma mater, and he was a baseball player there.



The Braves selected him in the 19th round of the 2016 MLB draft. In 2020, he made his MLB debut.

In Amarillo, Texas, Davidson attended Tascosa High School. He played baseball (as a starter) and football there (as a quarterback).



He was passed over in the baseball draft and went on to Midland Collegiate in Texas to play college baseball. In his second season, Davidson was 6-2 with a 2.27 ERA and 75 strikeouts in 71.1 innings for Midland.

He was chosen to the first team of the Western Junior College Athletic Conference.

The Atlanta Braves selected Davidson in the 19th round of the 2016 Major League Baseball draft. Instead of joining the NC State Wolfpack baseball team, Davidson concluded his NCAA baseball career by signing with the Braves organization.

Davidson made his professional debut with the Gulf Coast Braves’ Rookie-level team, finishing 0–3 with a 1.52 ERA and 32 strikeouts in 29+23 innings in 11 games (one start).

In 31 games with the Class A Rome Braves in 2017, he pitched to a 5–4 record with two saves and a 2.60 ERA in 103+23 innings (12 starts)
