New Mexico State’s Bradish spent three seasons as a weekend starter before making an impression in the Angels’ organization.

Following an outstanding showing at the Orioles’ instructional camp in 2020, he was assigned to Triple-A Norfolk in 2021, where he pitched for the majority of the year and posted a 4.26 ERA and 105 strikeouts in 86 2/3 innings.

In November, the Baltimore Orioles added him to their 40-man roster.

When Bradish takes the mound, he’s a force to be reckoned with at 6-foot-4 and 220 pounds, and his max-effort delivery gives him an unnerving appearance, especially to right-handed hitters.

The mid-90s to high-90s fastball along with mid-80s power curveball to miss bats is what he uses to get out of the batters’ way.

As well as his slider-like cutter and powerful changeup, Bradish has a slider-like changeup and darts away from righties. He has made progress with the changeup, but it’s still a work in progress.

He battled with command as a young pitcher because of his stature, stuff, and ferocity in his delivery.

It’s still a work in progress, but in Triple-A he’s done enough to put an end to talk about a long-term switch to the bullpen.

If he gets the chance to break camp with the Orioles this spring, he might wind up there or as a swingman. Bradish’s four-pitch arsenal, though, gives him the potential to be an impact starter at the highest level of baseball.
