What Is Malik Jefferson’s Salary: How Much Does Malik Jefferson Make?

Malik Jefferson, a linebacker has been signed by the Cowboys as a free agent.

Several players, including Jefferson, participated in the Dallas tryouts last Friday. He was selected by the Cincinnati Bengals in the third round of the 2018 NFL Draft and has spent the majority of the last three seasons moving around different NFL practice squads.

Jefferson was a standout linebacker for the Longhorns from 2015 to 2017. In his debut season, he was named the Big 12’s top defensive rookie and a Freshman All-American. Malik was recognized as the Big 12’s Co-Defensive Player of the Year, First-team All-Big 12, and Second-team All-American as a junior in 2017.

Jefferson’s first year in Cincinnati was cut short by a foot injury, which also stunted his progress, to just 10 games. His 2019 season with the Browns was cut short, and he has since spent time with the Titans, Chargers, and Colts.

Even though we may be skeptical about his potential now after four seasons, Jefferson does provide some professional experience and athletic skills to a position in desperate need. The Cowboys won’t have fifth-round draft pick Damone Clark and will probably ease Jabril Cox’s return.
