Frank J. Schwindel is a Major League Baseball first baseman with the Chicago Cubs in the United States. He formerly played for the Kansas City Royals and Oakland Athletics in Major League Baseball.



In Livingston, New Jersey, Schwindel attended Livingston High School. He graduated From st. John’s University and was a member of the St. John’s Red Storm baseball team from 2011 to 2013.

He also played for the Atlantic Collegiate Baseball League’s Riverhead Tomcats in 2011 and the New England Collegiate Baseball League’s Keene Swamp Bats in 2012.



Schwindel was drafted in the 18th round of the 2013 MLB draft by the Kansas City Royals.

He spent the full 2016 season with Arkansas, batting.270/.301/.446/.747 in 120 games with 20 home runs and 68 RBI.

In 133 games with the Arkansas Razorbacks and the Omaha Storm Chasers in 2017, he hit .329/.349/.541/.890 with 23 home runs and 97 RBI.

In 134 games with Omaha in 2018, he hit .286/.336/.506/.842 with 24 home homers and 93 RBI. In 2018, Schwindel played in the Triple-A All-Star Game.
