Jack Rafe Flaherty is a professional baseball pitcher with the St. Louis Cardinals baseball team of Major League Baseball. Jack was born on October 15, 1995, in Burbank, California, United States of America. He was adopted by Eileen Flaherty when he was three weeks old.

Jack played high school baseball for the Harvard-Westlake School. He was also part of the varsity baseball team for four years in high school. He was named the 2014 Gatorade Player of the Year for the state of California and the Los Angeles Times also selected him as their baseball player of the year.

The St Louis Cardinals drafted him in 1st round of the 2014 MLB draft. He signed with the Cardinals and began his professional career that year with the Cardinals of the Gulf Coast League. He spent the 2016 minor league season playing for the Palm Beach Cardinals and started the 2017 season with the Springfield Cardinals before he was promoted in September that year to the major leagues.

He made his MLB debut in September 2021. The Cardinals named him their 2017 Minor League Pitcher of the Year and in March 2022, he signed a one-year contract of $5 million with the Cardinals.
