Samuel Trenton Long (born July 8, 1995) is a Major League Baseball pitcher who currently pitches for the San Francisco Giants (MLB). He is 26 years old. He attended California State University, Sacramento, where he played baseball in college.



In 20 appearances for the Low-A Hudson Valley Renegades and the Single-A Bowling Green Hot Rods in 2017, he has a 2.27 ERA with 29 strikeouts in 31.2 innings thrown. Long was released by the Rays organization on March 22, 2018, the last day of spring training.
