Daniel Richard Duffy is a Major League Baseball pitcher who pitches for the Los Angeles Dodgers. He’s also a former member of the Kansas City Royals of Major League Baseball.



Following his selection by the Royals in the 2007 amateur draft, Danny Duffy spent the next three years in the organization’s minor league system, where he represented the team in the 2009 All-Star Futures Game.

Personal concerns, on the other hand, forced Duffy to take a break from baseball in 2010, though he returned to the Royals later that year.



Duffy made his Major League Baseball debut in 2011. In the following years following his rookie season, Duffy did not pitch in the Major Leagues on a regular basis until 2014.

He was a member of the Royals’ pitching staff throughout the team’s successful 2014 and 2015 seasons, and he helped the team win the World Series in 2015.

Throughout 2016, Danny Duffy had a career year, setting career highs in a variety of statistical categories. After the 2016 season, Duffy agreed to a three-year, $65 million contract extension with the Royals.

In 2021, the Royals traded Duffy to the Los Angeles Dodgers.
