Stephen Piscotty, whose full name is Stephen Edward Piscotty, is an American professional baseball outfielder who was born in Pleasanton, California, on January 14, 1991. Gretchen Piscotty and Michael Piscotty are the parents of Stephen Piscotty. Piscotty currently plays for the Oakland Athletics of Major League Baseball and was previously known to have played for the St. Louis Cardinals. He was a member of the Stanford Cardinals in college, where he was a first-round pick.

Born in Pleasanton, California, he played baseball for the Stanford Cardinal of Stanford University from high school to college. He went to Amador Valley High School in Pleasanton for his high school career, where he was a shot-stopper and pitcher. In the year 2009, he was named the Most Valuable Player of the East Bay Athletic League.

At the start of his career, he was drafted by the Los Angeles Dodgers in the 45th round of the 2009 Major League Baseball draft. He turned down the invitation and enrolled at Stanford University instead. He made his Major League Baseball debut in the first round of the 2012 draft with the St Louis Cardinals.

The Cardinals traded Piscotty who is now with the Oakland Athletics after the 2017 season. The Cardinals traded him to the Oaklanders in exchange for one Yairo Munoz and Max Schrock. In his first year with the Oakland Athletics, he hit 27 home runs and drove in 88 runs, a career-high in both. He was said to have won the Tony Conigliaro Award.
