Who Hit Baseballs Out Of Tiger Stadium?

Tiger Stadium to be specific in baseball as we all know is the home stadium of the Detroit Tigers of Major League Baseball. It had been the home of the League team since the year 2000 till date. The stadium is known to have been named after Comerica Bank which was founded in Detroit. The stadium was established in 1984.

Before it, the Tigers had been anchored to their playing days at the intersection of Michigan and Trumbull Avenues in Detroit’s Corktown area since Bennett Park’s opening in 1896. The construction of a new ballpark, to be erected on the same site, was then ordered by Tigers owner Frank Navin. Then, in 1912, the ballpark that is now known as Tiger Stadium was inaugurated.

In October of 1997, there was a ceremony to mark the official start of construction on the new stadium. On April 11, 2000, a game against the Seattle Mariners was played on the field for the first time after that.

The Detroit Tigers compete in Major League Baseball as a member of the American League at the time. They are known to be four-time World Series, championship winners.

Who Hit Baseballs Out Of Tiger Stadium?

At Detroit’s Tiger Stadium, only Cecil Fielder, Mark McGwire, Harmon Killebrew, and Frank Howard have officially hit a ball over the left-field roof.

For instance, Cecil Fielder became the fourth Tiger to ever hit 40 home runs in a season when he smacked a two-run blast into the upper level of the left-center field bleachers off of Dave Stewart.
