Stuart Fairchild is an American professional baseball outfielder for the Cincinnati Reds of Major League Baseball (MLB). He played college baseball at Wake Forest University.

In the Seattle, Washington neighborhood of Capitol Hill, where Seattle Preparatory School is located, Fairchild received his education and participated in the school’s baseball program. In 2014, the Seattle Times honored him by naming him to their All-Area Team.

Both in 2012 and 2013, he was selected for inclusion on The Seattle Times’ All-Metro Teams. Additionally, both in 2013 and 2014, the Washington State Baseball Coaches Association chose him for inclusion on their All-State teams.

He attended Wake Forest University, where he was a member of the Wake Forest Demon Deacons baseball team throughout his collegiate years.

In 2016, he was a member of the Chatham Anglers of the Cape Cod Baseball League, where he competed in collegiate summer baseball. In 2017, he played in 63 games and had a slash line of.360/.439/.636 with 17 home runs, 67 RBIs, and a total of 67 runs batted in.

During his time in college, he was selected for All-ACC and All-American honors three times each. He also had a batting line of .334.424 and.541 and had 176 starts at first base. He had 230 hits, 53 doubles, four triples, 27 home runs, 155 RBIs, and 47 out of 57 stolen base attempts.

What Happened To Stuart Fairchild?

On the 31st of August in the year 2020, the Cincinnati Reds sent Fairchild and Josh VanMeter to the Arizona Diamondbacks in exchange for the relief pitcher Archie Bradley and some monetary considerations.

After the conclusion of the 2020 campaign, the Diamondbacks decided to include him on their 40-man roster.
