Born August 13, 1991, Randal Alexander Grichuk is an American professional baseball outfielder for the Major League Baseball Toronto Blue Jays (MLB).
He was picked in the first round of the 2009 MLB draft by the Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim out of Lamar Consolidated High School in Rosenberg, Texas.
He spent five seasons in the Angels’ minor league system, missing time due to injuries but developing home-run hitting skills along the way. I
n November 2013, the Angels transferred him to the St. Louis Cardinals, and he made his major league debut on April 28, 2014.
Grichuk has a powerful hitting ability, as well as quickness, and a great defense. In the minor levels, he plays all three outfield positions, has a powerful arm, and primarily patrols the right field.
