How old is John Means?

John Means is 28 years old. He was born on April 24, 1993

For high school, Means went to Gardner Edgerton High School, which is located in Gardner, Kansas.

No NCAA Division I collegiate baseball program sought him out despite his participation on the school’s baseball squad.

During the 2011 MLB draft, the Atlanta Braves selected him in round 46 with the 46th overall pick.

However, the scout from the Braves visited him and advised him to go to college instead of signing with the team because of an injury he sustained during the visit.

After a year of junior college baseball at Fort Scott Community College, Means transferred to West Virginia University to play for the Mountaineers.

He was a member of the Cape Cod Baseball League’s Falmouth Commodores in 2013. He had a 3.13 ERA in 12 starts as a junior in 2014, going 6-2.

Means was taken by the Orioles in the 11th round of the 2014 MLB draft, as the 331st overall pick. While playing Class A South Atlantic League baseball, he pitched for the Delmarva Shorebirds.

It was July, and Delmarva had him pitch a no-hitter.

A Class A-Advanced Carolina League pitcher in 2016, he was called up to the Bowie Baysox midway through the season and pitched for them in the Class AA Eastern League.

In 2017, he made a triumphant comeback to the Bowie stage. In 2018, he was elevated to the Class AAA International League Norfolk Tides.
