Ynoa had his amateur career playing baseball in his hometown. He started playing baseball professionally after he was signed by the Minnesota Twins as an international free agent in 2014. Ynoa was added to the Brave’s 40-man roster before the 2019 season began. He was promoted to the major leagues in June 2019 by the Braves and he made his MLB debut the next day when the Braves played against the Philadelphia Phillies.
