Rowan Wick is a baseball player who serves as a pitcher for the Chicago Cubs baseball team. He grew up in North Vancouver, British Columbia in Canada where he was born on November 9, 1992.
Rowan had his amateur baseball career at the Carson Graham Secondary School, the St. John’s University and then Cypress College. In 2011, he played for the La Crosse Loggers of the summer collegiate Northwoods League.
After earning his college degree in 2012, the St. Louis Cardinals team selected him in the ninth round of the draft. He agreed and signed with the Cardinals to make his professional debut that season by playing as a catcher with the Gulf Coast Cardinals.
He spent the 2013 season with the Johnson City Cardinals and for the 2014 baseball season, he played with the State College Spikes and Peoria Chiefs. He was claimed off waivers in February 2018 by the San Diego Padres team
Rowan made his MLB debut with the Padres in August 2018. He was later traded to the Chicago Cubs in November 2018 for another player.
