One of the professional baseball infielders with the Los Angeles Dodgers baseball team is Edwin Gabriel Ríos. He is from Puerto Rico and was born on April 21, 1994, in Caguas, Puerto Rico. 



Edwin played baseball in high school at Osceola High School in Florida. He then attended Florida International University where he played college baseball for the school’s baseball team. He played collegiate summer baseball with the Cotuit Kettleers of the Cape Cod Baseball League before he graduated from college.

The Los Angeles Dodgers drafted him in the 6th round of the 2015 MLB draft. He was made to play with the Arizona League Dodgers in 2015 but was quickly promoted to the Ogden Raptors of the Pioneer Baseball League. The Dodgers assigned him to the Great Lakes Loons of the Midwest League at the beginning of the 2016 season.

He was later on promoted to the Rancho Cucamonga Quakes of the California League before the season ended. The Dodgers added him to their 40-man roster in 2018. In June 2019, he made his MLB debut for the team after he was promoted to the majors.
