Jacob Allen “J. B.” Bukauskas is an American, born October 11, 1996, in Ashburn, Virginia in the United States to Ken Bukauskas and Lynn Bukauskas. J. B. is known to be a professional baseball pitcher who plays for the Arizona Diamondbacks baseball team.



J. B began his baseball career at Stone Bridge High School in Ashburn and then at the University of North Carolina where he committed to playing college baseball for the school’s baseball team.

In 2017, after he was done with school, he was drafted by the Houston Astros team in the 15th overall selection in the 2017 MLB draft. He signed with the Astros after which he was made to play in the minor league for the Gulf Coast League(GCL) Astros.



The 2018 baseball season was a packed one for J. B as he played for the GCL, the Valley Cats, the Quad Cities River Bandits, the Buies Creek Astros, and the Corpus Christi Hook.

He was traded to the Arizona Diamondbacks in 2019. The Diamondbacks then assigned J. B to play for the Jackson Generals of the minor league baseball.

They added him to their 40-man roster in November 2020 and finally, in April 2021, the Diamondbacks promoted him to the major leagues. He made his MLB debut in April 2021 when the Diamondbacks played against the Cincinnati Reds.
