Dean was first known to have been signed by the Carolina Panthers as an undrafted free agent at the time, a move that followed the 2015 NFL Draft. Dean Marlowe was known to have played college football at James Madison University.

Reports state that Liam joined the team’s roster on September 5, 2015. The Buffalo Bills subsequently hired him on December 5, 2017. He joined the Detroit Lions on April 8, 2021. The Atlanta Falcons hired him on a one-year deal on March 31, 2022.
