Brad Wieck, born Bradley Michael Wieck plays professional baseball for the Chicago Cubs baseball team. Brad is a pitcher and wears the number 38 jersey when pitching.



Brad attended San Jacinto Christian Academy in Amarillo where he was born. He completed in 2012 and was selected by the Philadelphia Phillies in the 2012 MLB draft but he did not sign with the Phillies and chose college baseball over professional baseball.

For his college education and non-professional career, he first enrolled at Frank Phillips College where he later got transferred to Cisco College. A year after being at Cisco, he got an l transfer again to the Oklahoma City University where he finally graduated in 2014.



He was then drafted by the New York Mets in the seventh round of the 2014 MLB draft. His professional carer started from there as he was assigned to the Brooklyn Cyclones of the minor league. In June 2015, he was traded to the San Diego Padres.

The Padres assigned him to play for the Class A Fort Wayne TinCaps first before promoting him to play with the Class A Advanced Lake Elsinore Storm. The Padres added Brad to their 40-man roster in 2018. He made his MLB debut on September 14 2018 for the Padres. The following year, he was traded to the Chicago Cubs whom he plays for even today.
