Rylan Thomas Bannon, an American professional baseball third baseman for the Baltimore Orioles of Major League Baseball, was born on April 22, 1996, in Joliet, Illinois, USA.

Rylan started 48 of Xavier’s 53 games, mostly at third base, led XU freshmen with 165 plate appearances, ranking seventh on the team with 32 hits, he had seven multi-hit games and was ranked second on the team with 17 walks while raising his batting average nearly 50 points in BIG EAST play, putting up a.241 batting average and a.339 on-base percentage, Rylan walked eight times and struck out just seven times.

Rylan attended Joliet Catholic, where he won three varsity letters as a second baseman and had a lifetime batting average of .384, and was named to the all-conference team.

In 2014, he was the Perfect Game Preseason Central Region All-High School, Honorable Mention, helping Joliet Catholic win the state title in 2013, starting the game with a double.

The Joliet Catholic team concluded 2014 with a record of 28-8, Ryan also played for the Chicago Elite club.
