Kodi James Whitley (born February 21, 1995) is an American Major League Baseball pitcher for the St. Louis Cardinals (MLB). In 2020, he made his MLB debut.



Whitley grew up in Clayton, North Carolina, and went to Cleveland High School. He was named all-conference as a senior in 2013. He went to the University of Mount Olive and played collegiate baseball after being undrafted in the 2013 Major League Baseball draft.

Whitley failed not to make the Opening Day roster in 2021. He was recalled on April 13 but optioned back to Memphis the next day. He was recalled again on April 30.

Whitley was placed on the disabled list by the Cardinals on May 30 because to back spasms. On July 11, he was activated and optioned to Memphis.

On August 28, he was recalled to St. Louis and played the rest of the season with them. Whitley has a 2.49 ERA and 27 strikeouts over 25+13 innings in 25 bullpen appearances for the Cardinals.
