Travis Timothy Demeritte (born September 30, 1994) is an Atlanta Braves Major League Baseball second baseman and outfielder. He formerly played for the Detroit Tigers in Major League Baseball.

From Winder-Barrow High School in Winder, Georgia, Demeritte was picked in the first round of the 2013 Major League Baseball draft by the Texas Rangers.

Demeritte began his professional career with the Arizona League Rangers, where he batted.285 with four home runs and 20 RBIs in 39 games. He batted.211 with 25 home runs and 66 RBIs in 118 games for the Hickory Crawdads in 2014, and he began playing second base frequently after moving from his natural position of shortstop.

Demeritte returned to Hickory in 2015. He was banned for eighty games after testing positive for Furosemide in June. Demeritte played in the Dominican Republic and for the Adelaide Bite of the Australian Baseball League while serving his ban, breaking the league’s single-season records for games played (56) and strikeouts (48). (60).

Demeritte was relegated to the Spokane Indians after his return to Minor League Baseball, where he ended the season. Between Hickory and Spokane, he hit.232 with five home runs and 19 RBIs in 53 games. Demeritte joined the High Desert Mavericks in 2016.

Demeritte was struck by a pitch in a game against the Rancho Cucamonga Quakes in June 2016, resulting in a bench-clearing fight. He played in the All-Star Futures Game the following month.
