Kyle Hendricks, full name Kyle Christian Hendricks is one of those professional baseball players with the Chicago Cubs baseball team of Major League Baseball. He plays as a pitcher for the Cubs.

Kyle was born on December 7, 1989, in Newport Beach, California in the USA. He played baseball at Capistrano Valley High School in Mission Viejo, California. When he was done with his high school education and career, the Los Angeles Angels drafted him in the 2008 MLB draft but Kyle decided to continue his amateur baseball career at Dartmouth College.

In 2010, he played collegiate summer baseball for the Brewster Whitecaps of the Cape Cod Baseball League before he graduated from college. During the 2011 MLB draft, he was drafted by the Texas Rangers in the 8th round of the draft. He agreed to play for the Rangers and signed with them.

That year, he was assigned to play with the Spokane Indians of the Class A-Short Season Northwest League to make his professional debut. The Rangers traded him to the Chicago Cubs in 2012. Kyle made his MLB debut for the Cubs in July 2014.

In 2016, he was named NL Pitcher of the Month for August and in March 2019,  the Cubs signed a four-year contract extension through to the 2023 season with a vesting option for the 2024 season with him.
