Ryan Patrick McMahon, an American professional baseball player was born on December 14, 1994. He plays as a second baseman and an infielder for the Colorado Rockies (MLB).

McMahon attended Mater Dei High School and was very interested in sports playing football and baseball. The Rockies selected him with the 42nd overall choice in the second round of the 2013 Major League Baseball draft.

After signing with the Rockies and forgoing his ambitions to play college baseball at the University of Southern California, McMahon made his professional baseball debut with the Grand Junction Rockies.



In 59 games with 11 home runs and 52 RBIs, he batted.323/.402/.583 throughout the entire of 2013, batting.323/.402/.583 in 59 games with 11 home runs and 52 RBIs.

McMahon signed with Hartford at the start of 2017. He began to play second and first base in addition to third base to increase his versatility. In June, he was given a promotion to the Albuquerque Isotopes. In July also, he participated in the All-Star Futures Game.

On March 21, 2022, McMahon and the Rockies reached an agreement on a six-year, $70 million contract. If McMahon finishes in the top five of the National League MVP vote in any of the first three years, his contract will be extended through 2027 with an opt-out clause after the fourth year.
