Vladimir Guerrero is a Dominican–Canadian born baseball player born who serves as a first baseman, third baseman, and designated hitter for the Toronto Blue Jays baseball team of the Major League Baseball(MLB).



Vladimir was born on March 16, 1999, in Canada. In 2015, Baseball America ranked him as the top international free agent and MLB.com also ranked him the fourth-best in baseball. Vladimir signed with the Toronto Blue Jays on July 2, 2015, for a $3.9 million signing bonus when he was 16.

In 2016, Vladimir was assigned to the Rookie Advanced Bluefield Blue Jays and he made his professional baseball debut whiles with them. During the 2017 minor league season, he played with the Class-A Lansing Lugnuts.



During the 2018 baseball season, Vladimir was considered the top prospect in the Blue Jays organization by MLB and Baseball America. On May 31, Vladimir broke the MLB record for most home runs in a single month. He made his MLB debut on April 26, 2019, for the Toronto Blue Jays.

Vladimir Guerrero Jr’s father, Vladimir Guerrero Sr., is a known former professional baseball player who was born February 9, 1975. Vladimir Sr. spent 16 baseball seasons in the MLB as a right fielder and designated hitter.

Throughout his career, he played for the Montreal Expos, Anaheim Angels, Texas Rangers and Baltimore Orioles. He was signed by the Montreal Expos as an unsigned amateur free agent in March 1993.

He sailed through the game quickly that he was able to make the Expos’ Minor League Baseball (MiLB) farm system where he made his MLB debut on September 19, 1996.
