Yunior Marte is a professional baseball player from the Dominican Republic who is known to play as a pitcher for the San Francisco Giants baseball team of the Major League Baseball (MLB). He earns an annual salary of $7 million from the Giants.



Yunior Marte was born in Santo Domingo, in the Dominican Republic on February 2, 1995. On July 19, 2012, At age 17, the Kansas City Royals signed him as an international free agent. He was given $90,000 as a signing bonus after which he began his professional baseball career.

During the 2013 season, Yunior was named the Dominican Royals Pitcher of the Year in the Dominican Summer League. In 2014, he played with the rookie-level Burlington Royals where he made a 4-3 record and 3.44 ERA in 11 contests.

For the 2015 season, he was assigned to play for the Single-A Lexington Legends and in 2017, he spent the season playing with the High-A Wilmington Blue Rocks. He also played for the Double-A Northwest Arkansas Naturals where he made 17 appearances for them.

Yunior was assigned to play for the Class AA Northwest Arkansas Naturals in 2018 and 2019, he spent the year playing between Northwest Arkansas and the Triple-A Omaha Storm Chasers. Due to the COVID-19 pandemic that hit in 2020, Yunior did not play in a game as the season was cancelled.

He became a free agent in November 2020 and in December 2020, he signed a minor league contract with the San Francisco Giants organization.
