Was Frankie Montas A Dodger?

Frankie Montas is a Dominican professional baseball pitcher for the Oakland Athletics of Major League Baseball (MLB). He previously played in MLB for the Chicago White Sox.

Both the All-Star Futures Game and the Southern League All-Star Game were attended by him. It was July 17, 2015, when the White Sox promoted Montas to Triple-A, making him their 26th player for that day’s doubleheader. That night, he flew back to Birmingham without playing in either game.

On September 1, the White Sox promoted Montas once more, and the following day, he made his main league debut as a reliever. The Los Angeles Dodgers acquired Montas, Micah Johnson, and Trayce Thompson in exchange for Todd Frazier, José Peraza, Brandon Dixon, and Scott Schebler from the Chicago White Sox on December 16, 2015.

The Dodgers announced on February 12th, 2016, that Montas had had rib resection surgery and will be out for up to four months. Tulsa Drillers of the Class AA Texas League called him up on May 22 for his first appearance of the year.

Drillers made him a member of the Oklahoma City Dodgers after he made a few rehab outings for the team. In the process of aggravating his injury, he shattered one of his ribs, and subsequent testing revealed that he had one.
