Jarlin Emmanuel García, simply called Jarlín García and nicknamed the Elephant in baseball is a professional baseball player from the Dominican Republic. He plays as a pitcher for the San Francisco Giants baseball team of the Major League Baseball(MLB). He earns an annual salary of $1725000 from the Giants. He is 1.91 m and weighs 98 kg.



Jarlín was born and raised in a town called Pedro Brand in the Dominican Republic where he initially played soccer. Around age 15, he decided to try baseball and his passion for baseball grew so he stopped playing soccer and concentrated on baseball.

In 2010, the Miami Marlins signed him as a free agent. He received an amount of $40,000 as a signing bonus after agreeing to play for the Marlins. He began his professional career thereby playing in minor league games.



Jarlín was assigned to play for the Jupiter Hammerheads of the Class A-Advanced Florida State League (FSL) in 2015. He spent the 2016 baseball season playing for Jacksonville. He was promoted to the manor leagues in April 2017. He made his MLB debut that same for the Marlins.

The Marlins added him to their Opening Day roster as a relief pitcher in 2018. He was later claimed off waivers by the San Francisco Giants in 2020 and he has been with them since.
